Default Blue-Ray...

I have an old shuttle pc connected up to my Samsung 1080p LCD tv,(VGA Input) use it to watch downloaded films through the tv and pissing about on the Net with mates round.

Thinking of adding a blueray drive to it so I can use it as a blueray Player..

Its AMD 64 about 1.6ghz 1gb ram and std nvidia graphics....

Is it a good Idea? Or should I buy a Standalone Player will the quality be true blue ray quality?

Many Thanks In Advance!!

The Bluray drive will want a HDCP compliant video card and either DVI or HDMI connection before it will play discs mate.

Also, you might struggle with the spec, but don't quote me on that..

PS, you don't have to spend loads on the video card, but not sure how you'll get on fitting one to a shuttle :~

Yer Did think about PS3... But more than I want to spend really...

Shuttle has got an old agp slot, for the hassle I dont think I'll bother, Samsung are doing a 150 quid Blueray player, So I'll try and get some reviews on it!

Cheers
