Carbon Fibre Roof wanted
anyone know where I can get one of these for a s2? Emailed a few companies but no joy.

yes the mk3 rooof is the same as a mk4

cheers mate i was 100% sure they were but carbondelight dont list 1 for the mrk3 but do for the mrk4

the roof Twins took them for the mould was off a mk3

how are these fixed on and do you or can you remove some of the metal roof to lose some weight

my plan it to cut the roof out leaving a 4/5 inch edge alll the way round and bond the carbon to the metal

why would you say that?
i will be loosing the sunroof and cassete also
i reckon there will be a shed load of difference if my bonnet is anything to go by

It will loose you weight if done properly and also lower you Center of gravity.
like i said though that will have to be done properly and not just stuck on the top of the metal.
will be very expensive unless you can do it partly yourself

yes if you have a sun roof on your car you would save some=)
but, dont know what the carbon roof has in weight! but I dont expect that you save so much weight comparing to a non sunroof mk3/4

i defo want a carbon bonnet and maybe grill for my series one.will suit the black comp mo's and decals
