Wimwerf - I don't tend to drive like that on the road, so only really an issue at Brunters/testing so hard. It didn't like going from 1st to 2nd, but I was revving it very hard/high - my launch technique was brutal, but still managed to bog it down off the line I think with photo's etc., we had 4 runs each.

Still can't launch anywhere near as good as Chris (Cossymad) in the dry though - he was VERY consistent!! With hindsight, I should have got Chris to have a go in mine, he would have certainly have improved on my times.

I never had the water injection tanks in either of my Motorsport editions, I believe they all say funny things on the log book too, I bought Paul Linfoots(N yorks RS spares) and it said built from new parts or something on the V5.

Andy, the water injection kit came with a bag - don't think anyone in their right mind used that though, but it satisfied the homologation rules to allow a proper water tank for the rally boys.

Jeeez plastic bag talk about going through the motions lol!

Then again, at that time no one knew how to play the Homolagation game better than Ford

Andy
The one you bought from me was a Ford built motorsport and left the factory as a complete car ,,
The first one you had was a motorsport shell only car ( that will have said built from parts on the logbook ) but the one i had said escort rs cosworth on the logbook .
The ones that left Ford as trimmed shells only where all white ,, The others that left as complete cars where available in all colours
The shell only motorsports also had no seamsealer anywher and had problems with corrosion when they had been on the road a few years

yer Paul, I believe the Mallard one (your old one ) did have seam sealer whereas my white one didn't, My white one also had alot of extra wiring and looms fitted? The Ford built ones are nice cars, whereas the others out there can be a bit ropey depending on who built them.
