this is for sale on ebay, cant see how it new if it been .25 overbored but hey, its got 205 on the block, aint that just a normal 2wd block?

 

I think it is a 500 block as it has got the smaller core plugs but I though they were stamped as 200 blocks as well

 

rs 500s used a variation of the 205 block question is why is it .25 over size.

as far a i was aware 500's had 205 blocks , as 200 blocks werent available till 4x4 saff's

 

The codes tell the displacement and the year the cast appeared.

205 means "2.0 liter, production started at 1985
200 means "2.0 liter, production started at 1990

So as the 200 block was introduced only in 1990, it can not possibly be used in RS500s.
