i have a airbox on but the other week i put my KnN grp A filter back on and the chatter noise was a deep sound,not like the higher pitched airbox sound, which i prefere......years ago i hade a smaller KnN cone and i cant remember what it sounded like...........do the smaller cones give off a different chatter sound......???..........cheers Pete

turbo size, intercooler and size/type of cone filter all make chatter sound different ime

 

ive started running some boost on mine now, and the t4 chatters nice....so nice it blew the bonnet vent off

ive put the dv back on now lol

I have a pair of motorbike K&Ns on my 2.9 V6 and they give a noticeably loud induction noise though I don't have a bonnet on the car yet and it's so long since the engine last ran that I can't recall if it is higher, lower, louder or quieter than the airbox was.
