Lightbulb 18" centre lock BBS

For sale a set of five BBS centre lock wheels the same as RS500 tourng cars with a set of 6 hubs depending on what offset you wish to run on the rear. Also including the bar and socket that is needed to get these wheels on and off which alone costs £500.

These wheels are the magnesium ones so i have been told by a BBS dealer and not the cheaper alloy ones.

He also have some spare outer polished rims (the shiny ones on the outside edges)

The tyres that are fitted are Yokohama's parada 215-35-18 and all have good tread left on them.

These are being advertised for a friend and i can vouch that they are all in mint condition with no curbing and none are buckled. The fifth one has been repaired see attached pictures but has been running on the car with no problems.

this is the one that has been repaired

different size hub adapters for different offsets

He is looking for firm offers of £3000 for the lot maybe part ex for some old style 18" compomotive six spokes.

If you are interested then please PM me because i dont want a thread full of nice wheels mate or i wish i can own these.

Personaly I thought they were a very good price when taking into account there is a set of five complete with adaptors etc. My 4stud 17's now owe me nearly 3k, if you include refurb/colour change, tyres etc etc.

escort700bhp....I knew there was someone who said they were after a set of these but couldnt remember who to give a nudge to....congrats on the purchase!

The fact that these wheels arnt fit to be used on road cars tho limits the people who want to own them , leaving people who want them for race cars or show cars only , and we are tight arses

Doesnt matter how limited the amount of people are that want to use them when the remaining people that do want to use them aint always as tight as the one person whose in between those two groups of people Fook me, I just made a post thats almost as confusing as sommot Dojj would write

British roads are crap mate & the pot holes cause the mag to crack/split. All 4 of my RL's have at least 3 cracks in now & are ready for the bin.

i was going to have RL's infact i DID but shifted them before fitting for the reasons above.

FAR better with normal alloys..............and ones that can be replaced/bought new if something happens at that!

perfect for a show/race car though

what did the race cars use? as i expect they would have had a much harder time with the latteral forces exerted on the car with increased levels of grip suspension etc

looks like my old wheels lol

only this to check is the centre part of the wheels are painted,

this part of the wheel that touches the angled part of the nut should be un-painted as they can come loose if left painted,

hence when you restore them this part should be marsked up.

nothing wrong with alloy spindles as both rouse and eggenbger both used alloy spindles and alloy nuts

still have a couple of sets of these smaller width wheels so should really do something with them as my thunder saloon uses much wider bbs wheels

i am useing 10" by 17" and 12.5" by 17"

I wouldnt mind a set of inner and outer hoops for this spare centre ive had off you martin....I could then have a matched spare in my car which would be nice. With it being a spare wheel, the thinner the better for me as its only going to be dead weight.
