Default cosworth head inlet valves

just cleaning up a 2wd cosworth head that i bort and ive just noticed that 2 inlet valves are different from the rest!! the face of the valves seems very slightly domed whereas the others seem flat.will this make a difference or will it b ok chaps.thanks

u wudnt b able to tell in pics mate.its only a slight difference but they are definitely domed heads

prob just a differant make of valve
if its only slight i dont think it would cause any probs unless your going for a big power build but you'd be better building from the ground up in that case

if you havent fitted the head yet, why dont you replace all the valves, seals & guides?

get some genuine cosworth ones? i believe genuine ones are filled with sodium

Not cheap! have you seen the price of the valves?? go on cosworth website and have a look

Failing that ebay turns up some cheap ones but I wouldnt trust non-genuine valves in my engine.

You could always replace the dished ones to std ones just to be 100% sure.

i would deffo change em....replace the dodgy ones as there are lots of cheapo ones out there

i agree totally, but then its better than fitting it only to have to remove it again

i bort head off moonstone steve off here and hes assured me it came off his car and had no issues at all.i cant really afford to start taking them out and replacing.im on a tight budget lol.just wondered wether any1 else had come across it b4
