mag wheels
why do wheel refurbish places shy away from actually doing these?
what do they do or dont do that could damage them?
i got talking to someone who says they can do them who are very local and nice and cheap
they use a non acidic solution to strip the wheels
(i thought that any moisture was bad)
my wheels are quite rare and i dont wanna run a risk of wrecking them
then they will powder coat (also something i thought you couldnt do)
what your thoughts on this

just had a thought, i presume you will be dismantling them, if so at work we use a company called AMFIN who paint the magnessium gearboxes that we manufacture, its all aircraft stuff so i am sure they do it right
i would say they are reasonably cheap but they do loads of work for us.

its ok, dont answer my question
as if they are powdercoated already then powdercoating them cant be a problem to the wheel with regards to the temperatures used during the powdercoating process
if you google powdercoating mag wheels it brings up quite a lot of forums with info
