ive got a mk4 escort with a series 1 turbo engine are the samcos the same for both engine

they are different. the way they go to the cooler the s1 are more strait than the s2

but the engines are the same so if you have a standard cooler it wont matter

if its got a series 1 intercooler you will need series1 hoses and vice versa.

im buying a front mount intercooler anyway so the series 1 intercooler doesnt matter

ye but the pipe work on the intercooler will be different for both models ie a pro alloy series 1 intercooler will be different to series 2 intercooler etc so if you want to use series 2 hoses you need to buy a series to intercooler etc

im gonna go for an airtec intercooler from autospecialists for a series 2 then buy a series 2 samco kit then hopefully il have no problems lol

thats what i was getting at especially if its got a mk4 front panel as i think the intercooler mountings are different also
