Are you cold? Switch it on. If you're warm. Leave it off

Decision is that simple I think

Not got the heating on yet but when the hot water comes on it also heats the rads in the bathrooms.

we've had it on and off for the past few weeks

always better to have a trial run with it when it's warm enough not to use it in case you have a problem after the long summer lay up

Turned mine on about 2 months ago, as DOG was cold, just following orders, as she pays gas and lecky.
I have just re set up the DD's as changed banks, Ł20 month for lecky, more than covers it, Ł20 a month gas, just about covers it.

we are paying Ł80 for the 2 per month and seems to be fine at the minute think we are in credit actually so hoping by not using it during the day when its not that cold it will keep our bill down.

Doesnt help that our house is bloody huge and not particularly warm lol.

I haven't turned mine off all year... It comes on for 1/2 hour twice a day to heat the hot water cylinder instead of using the immersion heater... I can't figure out which is cheaper

we hav to put our water on twice a day to get it hot, would it cost much more to have the heating on at the same time as the water or not?

can't understand why they dont design central heating systems properly.

after all they have thermo stat and it should sense the temp in winter and turn it on and sense the heat in summer and turn it off in order to keep the temp at whatever the suer wants.

why dont they make them work like this?

Good idea

Haven't turned mine on yet, not planning to until its really cold.

Still t-shirt weather at the moment. Haven't worn a jumper is ages (apart from JDM All stars at Wembly when it pissed down all day and I had to buy a hoddie as I was just in t-shirt and jeans).

Nope.
I either get another jumper on, or I chuck on the fire which heats the house up nicely.

In this financial climate, the oil is only used for heating the water up.
