im looking into making 300mm brake conversion kits for the escort.
st170 discs and callipers are the obvious choice but cost alot of doe and are hard to find.
im thinking of using the standard rs2000 calliper and making brackets to offset the calliper so it can run st170 discs.
just need to make sure the disc thickness is the same on rs2000 and st170 disc's?????????
cost would be about 125 quid for brand new disc's and calliper brackets and bolts.
any interest?????????????????

 

alot? its max £300! and i would go for real thing...failing that go for cossie setup!

 

they are very hard to find. this is what im on about, ive seen many ppl looking for st170 set up and cant find them, myself included.
so if for 125 quid you can have new 300mm discs which look the nuts and will work better than the rs set up then that cant be bad.

should still be ok to do these but only for the mk4 coz the mk5/6 are different offset to run standard callipers
