On pattern ones they are the same, cos 2wd(sapph) and normal 2wd, but gen ford ones use a stronger joint for the cossie ones.
I always use pattern ones never a problem. only last about 2/3 years though.

the 1600 sierra ones shouldn't fit as they are castlated nuts on the ends, while the cossie's are pinch bolts

that might be your problem

if you have saph cos hubs then you won't have anything to lock the hubs tight to, so your steering will be all over the place

Why would arms that are not made by ford be shite.
Name 1 manufacturer that does not BUY IN BITS ?
I have used QH stuff for years including TCA's on my cossie without a problem.
The point is someone makes them for ford, ford don't make them, they are not a big enough concern to do that, they do the same as any and every other maker.

It would seem he got the wrong arms, shite imo, if they can't list the parts properly thats a bad start, its a known fact that the 'mickey mouse' tca's have smaller ball joints, most have thinner arms aswell, a cosworth is a car that is generally driven hard, why chance such a thing as cheap tca's
so Tabetha, why don't you just go along spouting the usual shite that you do

I'm about to remove my 2WD arms and will happily sell them. But first I need a pair of 3 door TCAs and can't find them anywhere! Anybody got a pair?

Cheers,

Charlie

Where can I get a set of QH TCA's for my 2wd saff Cosworth? It must be the threaded/short type, not the one with the nut on top.

Pattern ones are thinner, lighter, and with smaller balljoints.

i was having this bush conversation with the local mot tester round the corner and i said to him that the granada he had on the ramp was almost certainly bound to be failing on them and he said "sure will, i'll charge twice as much to fit th epolys if he wants them or the normal rate to fit the ford ones, which fail in about 3 weeks"

I managed to get hold of a pair of QH arms on eBay a couple of days ago. The seller only got one side for sale but a friend of his had a motor factory who could sort out the other side as well. Let's hope they will do it's job
