Hi there needing a bit of advice would 18 Compomotives 8x18 ET35 215/35/18 fit my 3 door with out any arch work?thanks for taken the time to look at this
Rub on the outer arches when going over bumps is what id expect to see from those, especially if its lowered.
Mind you, saying that, nothing is a given with these cars as the production tolerances vary so much, so what fits on one car doesnt on another and vice versa.
Shouldnt need too much work to make fit though

8x18 ET35s wouldnt even fill the arche properly anyhow, so if you need to go for arch mods to fit rims that still wouldnt look all that, your wasting your time IMO.
If your gonna fuck with the arches, fit some proper width/offset wheels, not a sot of 8x18s and 35 offset, leave them to the FWDs and scoobies.
Is that EscCos rims I see in the pic on the 3dr? They will sit way better, might not be much of a style, but at least they the right offset to make 8in wide wheels fill the arches better.

thanks for your advice but did you have to do any arch work?as you can see some say no with out arch work but martin reyland says they do fit and if anyone is going to know its him
its this simple mate they look mint and martin can sell you an offset that will work but my car on 18" escos ofset wheels with a width of 8.5" looked great but needed massive arch chopping and it drove shit
Craig, if you want the wheels to totally fill the arches, rears especially, as these often look skinny on 3dr. I'd stick with 215's on the front and try 225s on the back. The 3dr as you know has a very wide arch from outside edge to inside edge and is hard to get full look without cutting away some metal and plastic from the body kit. If you went this route you could then fit spacers and longer bolts to make up the gap and get it looking phat !
I know its obviously different but I went down this route with my ST200 to get the look I really wanted.

I have 18's on mine, and will be dropping to 17's when I get new wheels.
* They rub if you give it shit on a roundabout with a passenger in the car. Infact if you're really on it they rub with just me in there, and I'm only 14 stone now!
* Tyres are more expensive.
* It does tramline a bit, not bad but a bit.
* The sidewalls are so low profile there's no squish for a good standing start.
Unless you have to cos you have some mahoosive brakes I'd stick to 17s.
Mine is pretty decked, but I don't like the way they're tucked in the arches on the back:
