Default Anyone else got a 'Strength Ball'?

Went round my mates tonight to sort his pc out, and he got this ball thing, wound it up and started twisting his hand.

He passed it to me, and it was quite mad, took some getting used to, and my forearms were aching and swollen after. Thought Ive gotta get one of these!

A trip to Argos and £7.99 later, I have one. They are AWESOME for forearm training and also good fun and relaxing also!

Need to get a new battery for it tho so I can see what RPM I get it up to!

Heres a link: here

that would be the cheap ass copy of the "powerball neon" as found on play.com they do indeed wreck your arms after a serious speed/endurance run i believe the world record is around 15k

the record on one model of these is over 20k, but on the 250hz one's it's about 16k.
i've managed about 12k on a couple of occassions and really do build up forearms pretty well.
pluss they're a good laugh when you'va had a few beers to try and keep hold of it!

I have one a little different to that, I used to use it for training for Tenpin bowling believe it or not.

Mine has a handle out of each side and excercises both arms evenly.

I got mine about 10 years ago, so they are hardly a new idea!! LOL.

Put a celebrity's name on a tooth brush and it's a new idea.

You can keep the rpm low, and it acts as a good massager/relaxer?

Not from me mate. Back in the day maybe, my best is 257 with 8 strikes in a row, but these days, I'm no better than your average non-competitive bod.

I do all the gear though, in the loft.

My wrists used to ache quite regular until i got a powerball. Do if for ten minutes few times a week and not had any pain since!

Very good in my opinion!!
