how can you tell if you have a so called "turkish block?cheers

Will have "99" at the end of the number on the side of the block....

Sure someone will come along with a pic in a mo.

Should only be a problem if you're running huge power (500+ bhp), as think only the big power guys have had dramas.

They only seem to start giving problems much over 500hp and deff not a good idea to run over 600hp on a linerd one

mine has been perfect at 472 bhp 342 lbft. should be fine at 375

Pistons melt blocks twist or crack, You wont have any problems, I do have one 99 block running over 600hp and so far ok but this was a seasoned one and not new at this level,
Some will be better than others and some will be worse.

its got the motor out at the moment avin a rebuild....waiting for the block to be faced!
mines a moonstone sapp and strangely another moonstone sapp turned around in my dads street last night as mines at his in werrington..i pressume he was on the rob tho!
there is a std looking white sapp ive seen about.

how much seasoning do they need? I have an SCS engine on a SCS t38 and running 440 brake on the dyno but am wanting to move to a GT30 at some point.......

I figure do a few k on this setup (must be close to 5k now) then GT30 and hope everything is cool
