Default Somewhere to eat im london???

Anyone offer any advice on where to eat in london? Im stopping in stratford with work (have been past 3 month but i only know immediate area) and the missis is coming down for thd night (thurs). Shes not down until half past seven so i reckon thats too late to see a show or anything so slap up meal for two it is. Im thinking steak house or something. Does anyone know any where good and more specificaly directions so i dont look a twat getting lost. Gonna be underground/bus only as i dont bring the car down to this dump. Many thanks for any info. Steve

theres a nice place in the angel islington called tiger lills, its on upper street N1, was a nice meal there , thats chinese though

as for curry housed, cant think of any near ya

if ya going to the westend then try china town or browns on albemale street w1, it in mayfair though so cant be a bit pricey

theres also sports cafe at the bottom of maymarket, just come out of piccadilly circus and follow the traffic down hill, then when ya come out ya can walk across to trafalgar square, down embankment place to the queen mary boat on the thames for a nice drink

good evening out mate, cant fail

Theres a place in Limehouse / Mile End called Venus in the Park. Reasonably priced but the food is and a really nice restaurant as well. I think its a greek place but do quite a mixture of everything. If not can't go wrong with china town in the west end

B19bal, thanks for that, sounds like a plan to me. Without trying to sound stupid is there any chance of specific directions from the tube (picadilly circus?) to the haunts u mentioned? Especialy the boat, sounds like just the ticket. Thanks.

ok piccadillycircus station ( bakerloo line or piccadilly line) , come out of stationa nd head down hill with the flow of traffic ( angus steak house on corner), thats coventry street i belive ( been a while since i was there)

the down hill where angus steak house is is a road called haymarket ( got a maccy d's there and the royal opera house too

at the end on that street ( also the sports cafe is at the end too nextdoor to new zealand house) turn right, that will the lead ya to texas embassy and trafalgar square, at the bottom of the square to the right hand side is a road called embankment place ( theres a pub just off it called sherlock holmes too, good pub ), its the road before whitehall ( ya wont miss that road, its on the roght of it)

at the end of that road leads ya to the queen mary boat, has a bar on there, open on friday and saturdays till 2am

not like ive been before though , big benn is at the next bridge on the right

need any tourist places in the west end im a guy to help ya out
