Just had one come in to work and my first time really seeing one or even paying any attention to one, first impressions are it looks ok.. and if im honest i think it looks better than the new fiesta.
On paper the stats seem impressive altho unable to test drive one to see how it performs on the road.

One of our local group members works for Vauxhall and smokes round in one of these as his company car.
Rapid little car, will monster quite a few supposed faster cars as well.
Sounds the part as well, his has got a remus backbox from memory.

Although they fit into the same category I think it's unfair to make a direct comparison. If you want to go off price then the Focus ST is a closer match.
We had a Corsa VXR for Three Months and Tbh i dont think its worth the Price Tag.
For the first two weeks it was fun, but got bored of it ..
It goes well, but the Fuel Consumption is a JOKE! Its worse than the ESCOS !!
And the Steering is wayyyy too light.... Does not weight up when you drive it fast either.
Its a good car dont get me wrong, but just not as good as the HYPE Vauxhall lead you to believe.

Very cool little cars, but TBH I just wouldnt pay that much money for a corsa, but then Im just one of life's pikeys really, I just dont get why people buy a new car when they can get so much more at two years old, so I make the same comment on most things.
They really do seem to go well despite being a bit lardy though, and no reliability issues im aware of yet either

The Fiesta ST has never been a 16k car though has it?

People after a 'hot hatch' arent going to want a focus. It doesnt really ring true as a hot hatch, more a hot family car.
(yes I know it is technically a hatchback but thats not the same)

Chip, would you buy a second hand one say 07 plate with 5k for 13k?
Or would you wait another couple of years till sub 10k to make it a worth while buy?

Driven both the normal version and the 888 version, HARD, for a few hundred miles each.
Corsa VXR is a real good car, but the 888 version was in a whole different league of aceness.
Properly fast in a straight line, mint handling, and badass brakes, I liked it, and I think most cars are poo. Exhaust pops and bangs on the gearchange too.
Would I fuck be spending any good money on any hot hatch, but if I had to get one, a VXR 888 or similarly modified one would be near top of the list, if not the top.
Better than the Astra VXR and VXR 888 too IMO, and ive driven them both too.
Seen 160 in the Astra VXR 888 tho (4up, on A40, allegedly), both types of Corsa VXRs top out at about 140 due to gearing, not like thats a big deal.

I cant see me EVER buying a car under 3 years old, when most RV's after 36 months are sub 50% and yet cars still drive like new at that age.
I personally dont think ford need a 16k fiesta,, you dont see many corsa vxrs on the road, if they bring out a fiesta rs it wants to be 14k tops

A Mondeo with 220bhp and wide rubber brand tyres doesn't need traction control anyway so it makes no difference if its on or off.
