i am goin to send my standard 4x4 pistons to steve scott to get em machined
(valve cut outs for bd14 , and pocketed for low comp )
some people are sayin that this is a stupid idea and they will not last 2 minutes running greys t34 etc at high boost, stu will be live mapping it so i am thinkin that it WILL be ok if it is set up to the level of live mapping as pistons give up when the car runs lean etc etc , is this bollocks ?will they be ok if its all set up perfect or will they fuck up???
also my crank will have been machined for the second time, will this be ok or is the crank no good for 370ish bhp if its been reground twice???

phil, pistons dont ONLY fail due to det and running lean (ie melting) they can fail in other ways too (for example them being too weak and literally shattering)
