Veyron was tested at 10.2@150mph irrc. Not sure if thats the quickest though. Is a mini cooper not aroung 15 seconds for the quarter?

 

Honestly he reckons the newish super charged mini cooper works are the quickest on the 1/4 mile.He said he had a race with a new st focus and his super charged mini cooper s beat it.He is so full of shit.

i can think of loads of cars that would see of a mini cooper.

 

Mini cooper S works hit 60 mph from a dead stop in 7.1 seconds, and finished the quarter mile in 15.2 seconds at 92.4 mph.
God thats fast, cant see any production car staying with that. .

Blacky funnily enough i mentioned how quick your car is and i told him your alpina would kill my cossie.So is that true then about it been the fastest fwd car.When he bought the mini cooper s he said that there was only 3 of them in darlington (where i live) ha ha ha.

The Renault Megane R26.R blows the Mini Copper S Works away and thats front wheel drive.
Not only does it blow it away specification wise but it has also done the Nurburgring in 8:17 – a new lap record for a front wheel drive production car.

Get real, the fastest 1/4 mile production FWD car ever built was the 67 Toronado at 13.4, 400bhp 550lbft, though the 70 Caddy eldo was not far behind.
There are at least 10 cars FWD and faster over the 1/4 than the mini,

NISSAM ALTIMA V6 SE 14.1
ACURA TL 13.8
These are but a few, but it was beaten back in 1967.

Unfortunately the Ultima doesnt count as a production car. There is a big debate about it, its something to do with the fact you can put any engine you want in it basically. This is why its not the fastest production car around the ring (even though it was RAPID).

My guess would be the Corevette Z06, the 2006 version is mid 11's, not sure what the newer one is. I'll ask my mate as he's a yank buff.

Also owns a Lambo ? if so spoke to him several times up the pod and he is a sound fella, that 10.7 pass was mental to watch and after driving the NA version I can only imagine how bloody scary it was
