Default Essential track day product!

http://www.randbmotorsport.co.uk/sho...?ProductID=446

Advanced wireless tyre pressure monitoring system. System includes 4 sensors, metal valves, display screen for dash etc and comprehensive fitting instructions.
From a racing or trackday perspective, tyre pressures can be fine tuned to improve handling and tyre wear. The display monitor shows both pressure and temperature and the sensors can be fitted to your wheels at any good tyre fitter.
-7 year sensor battery life.
-Saves fuel.
-Saves tyre wear. A 6psi drop in tyre pressure can lead to a 10-20% increases in Fuel consuption and 30% increase in tyre wear. Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems are now actually mandatory on all new cars in the USA, that is how important the feature is considered out there!

OVERVIEW
The system constantly measures both tyre pressures and temperatures, alerting the driver when a tyre pressure or temperature are abnormally high or low.

FEATURES
24hr - 365days a year monitoring.
No need to check tyre pressures.
System Alerts driver withing 3 seconds of any abnormality.

BENEFITS
Better fuel consumption....saves money
Normal tyre wear....saves money
No low pressure tyre failure....saves lives!

RACING
No more guessing tyre pressures / temperatures, you can detect instantly the tyres are overheating and come in and make the necessary adjustments the moment there are any changes. Also, when the tyres become too hot / over-pressurised, you can end the session without damaging the tyres or before the handling degredates.
High visibilty display, perfect for racing & trackdays!

Excellent product - but I've just been put off by the fact that you can't easily transfer the sensors - I mistakenly thought they were inplace of the valves?

I would need 3 sets of sensors - 1 for slicks, 1 for cut slicks & the other for my road tyres.

Many of the systems out there do exactly that, which is obviously far more convenient.

For a road car parked on the street though, you wouldnt want to be getting your valve caps nicked at about 30 quid a corner, so in that respect installed ones are better.

But then realistically if you want it for trackdays, its not an issue as you wouldnt leave them fitted the rest of the time, you just put them on and off like caps on the day as you set your start pressure

I would have to see if they could provide a track day package for people with multiple wheels, as each set of four sensors is encoded to the display to enable these to be used without interference from other users.

However, I would imagine it would be quite costly, as the majority of the cost is in the sensors, rather than the display.

Hmmm, tempting but as said, changeable sensors would suit me better.

Whats the price with 8 sensors then Mike?

do they have to use the metal valves, or is the gadgetry inside the other little box of tricks that sits inside the wheels the important part that does the monitoring? as i dont really want bufty shinny metal valves poking thru my satin black wheels!

and while your there Mr Flid, any progress with my Pectel Monitor?

I am awaiting confirmation of the price with 8 sensors .

Unfortunately the valves / sensors are all together.

It is being done as we speak .

Mike, any prices yet? or shall i just pay the £220 for now, and when the difference is known by yourself for the extra 4 sensors just make up the extra?

estimated time for delivery? as could get the main unit sent off with some other bits to be made to house it!!
