If i'm not mistaken a indian restaurant called Tayyabs has just been named one of the best restaurants in the UK and scored higher than Gordon Ramseys.
Beleive it's in whitechapel and the price is meant to be really cheap.

Sorry mate just noticed that it's closed for Ramadam, back open on the 1st October.
note this one for the future!!
Another good Asian restaurant is the Deya, it's just of Oxford St on portman square. It's part owned by Michael Caine but is really nice food and environment!

Your having a laugh... They are shocking. As an added bonus you can be part of a restaurant tout war.
If you want a proper indian get yourself into Fieldgate Street,E1 (Behind the Whitechapel Mosque) . I believe its called Tayyabs , its always getting a mention in the good food guides and where to eat. I have driven down there before and it queing out the door and all the way to Plumbers row
desi tadhka
uxbridge road
just on the outskirts of southall
but call them and book a table or else you'll be waiting outside for an hour or so
most indians in southall will let youbring your own booze so it won't cost you a lot and yuo'll like what you've bought
if you want indian vegi only then there is mazza at the top end of lady margeret road, or next to it is darjeeling, both nice food there
or if you want to head into southall, chandi chawnk, punjabi on the broadway, there is the palm palace south indian opposite the iceland car park on south road, or omi's on beaconsfield road, or even rita's in old southall but to name a few more

or the one tucked away on featherstone road tandoori kharahi or something or the one on the corner of the green
mhaduh's briliant or even the likes of shananshah

depending on how many peole want to come along then sure thing
the next question is do you want one with a bar or do you want to bring your own booze and share it around?
then, do you want a noisy venue or do you want a quiet one?
some of the places have fairly limited seating so probably wouldn't be able to accomodate a group of 20 or so peole turning up even with a booking which limits it even further, and it would more than likely be better on a week night than a weekend as it won't be as rammed packed and you might get away with parking somewhere closer
the other thing to remember is that some of them will not be used to a big ammount of peole turning up and they will cook slowler so this means it'll probably be limited to one of the bigger venues on the braodway
let me know who wants to turn up and i'll ring around
i can deffo recommend the one on the corner of south road and hamilton road
but i'd advise against going to glassy junction because you might get

you still get indian muslims, and most indian restaurants arent indian anyway, theyre pakistani, bangladeshi, etc blablabla, just labelled indian so that they get more custom
still, that doesnt matter, as to the average person, theyre all the same anyway
