Hi all just a quick question.
i took my thermostat housing off, refitted it and there is water leaking from around it. I take it there should be a gasket between the housing and head.
are these available from any motor parts shop or will i need to visit ford.

you can get them at most motor factors or use some blue hylamar(not sure on spelling) around the edges instead

get a new gasket and use some blue hylomar on it! do not just use the hylomar without a gasket!!!

 

new thermostat with kit ( spring clip and gasket) is 3.50 from my local motor factor

 

or u can even buy some gasket paper for about a quid and make 1 up, its a bit of a pain but not bad if ur stuck
