Hi brought this GTI a week ago been playing up from day1 starting with misfiring, and kangerooing on acceleration, so far i ave changed the Following
New plugs
Tried coil Pack
Fuel filter
Injector cleaner in the fuel
Compression test ( all Normal)
Still o change and is now switching from 3-4 cyliners and is currently stuck on 3 cylinders, But if left overnight and started up cold it will start on 4 but then goes back on to 3 if you go for a drive (30 mins)
When the car is on 4 it misfires and kangerroos when on load
Has been on snap on diagnostic machine No fault codes where found. Thought to be a fueling problem as fuel pressure was checked and is a bit low could possible be blocked injector but i lost what to do next!!!!

get them flow tested.could be a bent valve

 

leads?have you got a spark at each plug?is it a new coil pack there common,i dawt its a valve if starts ok unless sticks when hot maybe

 

Yes spark at each plug cant be a valve because the compression test came back fine!any oither ideas

 

is there any black lines on the plugs

 

No, plugs are a day old. the cylinder no 4 which isnt firing is a little wet obviously due to running on 3 cylinders havent got a clue whats going on
