I found out today that my G-Max have gone like this after 4000 miles! The top 4 coils are sitting one on top of another (actually touching/resting)and my wheels now rub when i go over a bump! LOL Cheap shit!

Not any help to you mate but though it ironic!

Are they really??
Whats the point in having the top coils if they all act as one? May as well be a solid peice of tubing until halfway down! lol

It was stood up for about 6 months just got it back on the road and now when i go over bumps or corner sharply they rub really badly!!!

For better comfort at lower speeds and better handling at higher speeds IIRC

I can understand that if there was a smaller gap between the top 4 coils and a larger gap between the bottom ones, but there is NO gap at all between the top 4 they sit touching as one!! So only my bottom few coils are actualy doing anything!! It cant be right surely??!!

no what they do is off some softness and stability over bumps but still offers the hard part of the spring for cornering.
if you go over a hump in the road and the car lifts up then it will stretch the top coils out so when it comes back down it will come down smoother rather than coming down onto a stiff spring causing pogo effect.
my front end feels bit unstable at high speeds coz the springs are just hard all the way through

It's complete bollocks. Get some good linear springs.

I don't need to explain, go look at some proper cars that handle well. Come back and tell me how many run progressive springs

try re-installing some standard rs springs again with your uprated shocks and see how that feels and work from that
