Unhappy Escort Cosworth ABS light on...

As above... It's always come on as it should when the car starts, and then went out after 30 seconds. Last week though, it didn't go out at all and has been on ever since. It comes on when you start the car and never goes out, so I don't think it's a sensor. Had some bloke round with a Snap on code reader, which gave a fault code of 22. This, he told me, meant that the 'wiring to left hand solenoid' was faulty... Any ideas...? It's a 1992 large turbo car UK spec.

Cheers in advance...
Dave

I had the same problem on my 1993 4x4 Sierra Cosworth, turned out to be a faulty rear wheel sensor. The light would come on when the car was started and stayed on when driving.

If you have a multimeter you can check each of the sensors, unplug the sensors and check the resistance across the sensor connections, you should get a reading of about 1100 ohm's. If you get no reading then that particular sensor is faulty.

mine does it from time to time, just take the sensors out, give them a bit of a clean and the hole they go into

A build up of crap in the sensor rings can cause this as it does not see the gap between each segment.
