Mk6 Escort, is it worth swapping a Zetec for a CVH turbo engine?

To turbo my 1.8 properly will cost quite a bit.

Just wanting a quick easy way of getting turbo power for little money.

What bits would i need for the conversion?

Because the compression ratio and management map could stop you from running a decent amount of boost to make the effort worth while.

 

Have you considered uprating the zetec to 130 spec, mondy cams and all that guff or are you set on turbo power?

Because i dont trust decompression plates, if i wanted to do the Zetec i would do it properly with forged pistons etc.

Dunketh: Im not set on turbo power mate, but i do think my 1.8 is getting a bit gutless. Just thought it would be a quick easy & cheap way of getting turbo power for a change.
