Hi
What is stage two then? I have ST, with Collins Chip etc. I use standard pump. Seems OK.

Thanks Mark.

Stage 2 is around 300 BHP, Stage 1 being 275 / 280 BHP. I'm sure you'd need a Hybrid T28 to get close to 300 BHP reliably.

The standard pump comes from a 1.6 Escort. For the sake of Ł80 I'd swap it if you've chipped it especially as they're getting on now.

I have the Hybrid T28 on mine, forgot to mention - from Turbo Technics. Goes well my car, holds boost well, but because it doesn't run lean, (like lacking fuel), I have never changed the pump. Makes you wonder if it would make any difference.

Bosch 023 is an internal, the 044 I'm sure is external. The pumps are the same for BT & ST.

I have just put a 023 pump in mine. With a chip from MSD -31 it's like a new car now. Can't wait for the chip to be finished so i can run the big turbo...

ive put an 044 inside the tank, bit of a squeeze but just goes in. I found this to be a stronger pump that the 023 that was in there but then i dont know how old it was.
