Hamilton On-Board Video

Done a new thread rather than it get lost in the slagging.
Im modifying my viewpoint. And as ever I suspect the Stewards had this info to call upon not just the ITV feed.
As he cuts across the corner and rejoins he doesnt lift at all! Just nails it and you hear the gear changes at peak RPM. Its only because Kimi has already booted it as he exited the corner properly that he draws alongside him.
I reckon they (Stewards) interpreted the engine note as gaining advantage. Whether thats correct ultimately is irrelevant now. McLaren just have to go out and win every race so the 4 points lost dont make a diference in the end.
Also that some serious closing speed as they approach the bus stop and Kimi brakes early!

Just got back from belgium, i was sat in the trees on the outside of the first corner of the chicane when it happened and i don't care what anyone says, hamilton lifted and let kimi go the camera's portray it badly but actually sat watching it happen it was obvious. no need for the stewards enquiry if you ask me, just ferrari shouting and the stewards listening as per usual.
and before anyone says it, no i'm not a hamilton fan, i think he is completetly overated but in this instance he was in the right.

It does indeed look as tho he genuinely outbraked Kimi into the busstop approach, and seeing as although he passed Kimi after diving through the chicane, Kimi DID get back infront of him, so technically, it wasn't a place won as such - IMO, which counts for fuck all

And the on-board PROOVES he didnt lift to let Kimi by!
On the grass?
Its curious. McLaren stated they informed him to lift and let Kimi by, but he didnt. You get Ron shouting in yer ear and you lift a little surely?

O.K i will hold my hands up and admit i know nothing about how complaints procedures etc. work in F1 not that it matters anyway. he didnt lift but he could have easily pulled out infront of kim, but he didn't.
It dosnt sound like he lifts does it, but then with out telemetry none of us can prove it.
Great vid either way, especially with Lewis flat out through Eau Rouge with it spitting with rain

looks to me likle kimi braked early & forced the move
he must have been tipy toeing for hamilton to gain so much ground on the fastest section of the track

as blacky says kimi wasnt going as fast as hamilton, and that was throughout the lap as you see he is catching him at a pace, to me it looks like LH has the line and is froced of the track by kimi
Can anyone see a yellow flag here? Is it/was it up in the air or down by his leg? Looks down to me, but it also looks like a little yellow flag is being waved.

Just waiting for that video to load to see if it show this incident too.

awesoem video
Still dont see why Lewis is penalised. Kimi went back past him, therefore Lewis gave the postion away. Thats the rules isnt it. Lewis then spanked past him legally

Also, to those that think Hamilton is overrated, have you watched all of that video? The outbreaking is outstanding and he does it time and time again.
Kimi BINNED it at the end. He's really not been upto scratch at all this year.
Roll on Monza, and I'll be rooting for another Ferrari asswhipping like last year!
JAmes.
Just reading an Italian site. Most like Lewis to a degree. But most point out that if hed waited a little and passed Kimi on the run up the hill (example) he wouldnt of got a penality. He was too naive/immature.
Easy mistake to make given the cirumstances though. They're both great drivers though.
And Im more miffed that Massa won rather than Kimi or Lewis

this is what i was saying in the other thread.he had an advantage.he had more of a drive than he wouldve if he had pulled in behind kimi or if he had lifted
i still disagree with the time penalty.they shouldve knock him down the grid at the next race. i that was what they were meant to do once the race had finished.
