Lightbulb turbo power!!!!!!

right i need a new turbo ...but im not willing to pay 900-1000 on a stage 3...so my plan is to buy a second hand cossie turbo for my s2(mfi)...but will i be able to fit it without any modifacations to the manifold or exaust....i want a mother ship.but at low cost..is it possible????????????

think you have to mod down pipe . not 100% though

It wil bolt on the manifold but will need a cossie down pipe modded to fit your system.

so i take it cossie turbo's are better that rst's.....i want 200+....but i dont want to run the risk of poping turbo's eevery five mins...i do have a heavy right foot..how do the rst's react to cossie turbo's

Well a cossie T3 makes over 200 in standard form on a YB, so you should be ok LOL

As Jake said though, you need the downpipe modded, or one made.

Why not go to turbo technics for a stage 3? i got mine for £500 odd quid in exchange for my fooked standard turbo.

a standard/ decent condition t3 will make 300bhp and LAST; i know some people who have ran as much as 330 but they dont tend to last long

what PSI do you plan to run?

i also happen to know of one for sale; its in my shed

im not going to run out and buy a cossie turbo straight awy if i can get a decent stage three ill just use that.......im just trying to find out my options really iv never tuned a car..i was thinking that the bigger the turbo the more life u will get out of due to no having to spin up as much....when i stripped my engine down i found oil in my boost pipes so i think its on its was out.......(i will convert to efi )next year probaly

IMO speak to people that tune rs turbos and see wht they say,im sure it will be fine up to 200bhp but make sure.

a good theroy is to decide what bhp you want and then fit the smallest turbo to acheive that figure
