take top cambelt cover off, take rocker cover off, then remove all spark plugs!get numbers 1&4 to tdc!doudle check buy carefully putting a long screwdriver down plug number one and slowly turn engine over until the screwdriver reaches its highest point!then remove the 13mm nuts from the rocker arms on cylinders 1&4 remove rockers the place tool where rocker was and screw down until you can get the valve collets(sp) out with a magnet remove tool, valve spring then remove seal, refit new seal and fit in reverse of fitting!do all 4 on num 1&4 refit rockers and fit new 13mm nuts (they are cheap!)and torque down!then get pistons 2&3 too tdc and do all again!

Then your head bolts have gone weak and are killing the head gasket (common on older CVH models as most are now).

Best thing to do would be a new cambelt, headgasket and a set of bolts. As the gasket is not actually gone, you should be okay without getting it skimmed as well (although I would check it with a flat rule or plate in any case). Can get the whole lot for well under £50 and is only a couple of hours @ most to change it all.

Cheers, seems to be alright since i tightened the head an added fuel treatment and engine treatment!! still smokes a lil bit when cold but should pass emissions, its booked in 2moz for retest hopefully will pass. Then if the gasket goes or starts smokin again, then ill do the gasket AGAIN lol thanks for advise m8
