Default ACT - what charge air temp range is safe?

What is a safe temp for ACTs on a stage 1 saph (with standard 4x4 intercooler). Got a SECS monitor but don't really know how high is too high.

Cheers.

Bad mojo occurs after about 60C. You ideally want to keep it as close to 40C as possible.

Cheers. I've seen it go into the 50s occassionally but is usually around 35 - 40 when driving. Its good to have a rough idea of a top limit though. Thanks.

Mine sits in the 50's on a hot day in traffic but flat out is in the 30's.

I currently have a batch of five on order.

FYI ignore the readings you get from heat-soak in traffic, these are irrelevant. The 40°C (or less) to aim for, is only on wide-open throttle, you don't need to worry about any other circumstances .

When the ECU detects a high inlet temp, it will retard the ignition...

you want your ACT's to be kept as cold as possible.

Cooler air = more bhp.

Once saw a cooler that kept ACT's at ambeint temps no mater what the boost

Front of the car had to be modded a little for it to fit tho
