Hey guys just wondering if I can get any help on the correct paint code/name of the colour on my saff. So far I've managed to sort that it is A9, which is a plain black with no tinter if im correct.

I took the car to the paint shop to get the Boot/Spoiler redone and they seemed to have botched the colour, In bright light it has a crazy silvery glitter/pearl/tinter in it. Im happy with the finish and the job they have done but not so much on the colour they have used.

They have told me that their 'database' does not go back more than ten years and that their Ford UK colour listings dont have an 'A9"

Any help would be appreciated, where are they going wrong?

 

A9 in the European market is for a black pearl on a 96-97 Probe

What car, country, year and poss. chassis number if Europe and I will try and find a better answer for you

 

My 3dr cossie is A9 black....it should be a flat black with a bronze sort of tint in direct sunlight iirc.

 

my 1990 2wd saff is straight black code A9,isnt the mettalic ebony black which i thought only available on 4x4 ?
