As per normal now the Fiesta has been sold the wife has decided that we do after all need two cars that we can use.

She wants any old runner to get about and nothing over a 1.4 for the cheap tax and running costs. Something along the lines of a Fiesta or Polo. I've had loads of Fiesta's and fancy something else now. While looking at Polo's I've found loads of Golf GTi's that fall within budget but can't see her going for it.

Any suggestions of cars that can meet her criterea but not bore me senseless when I have to borrow it? Budget isn't more than £1500 as I want to get my Escort back on the road

I have got a 1.25 Zetec-s Fiesta 3dr here doing nothing.

Done a few motorway miles, but the car has always been well looked after. Air con, central locking, strandard alloys. Mums old car and she has bought a new one, and still got this one

Still got T&T reckon she will want about a grand, its on a W-reg. I ran around in it for a few weeks when my cambelt went, good little runner.

Id look at fiesta's if you want a ford, or a corsa, maybe a saxo.

End of the day you cant be too picky if its just a cheap runabout

 

 

ford ka, no cambelt to worry about, good MPG, , iv just sold a Ka collection on an 02 plate for 1600 with electric windows, aircon etc, should get a decent one for 1500

 

Renault Clio 1.2 16V no question in that price range/size.
Well specc'd and nippy enough for a small engine.
