Have taken in a very clean FTO today and the thought of putting a cossy engine into it keeps running through my mind. I have a complete cossy setup ready for the transplant, really think it would be a nice basis for a stripped out track car.
Anybody know of any good metal fabricators in the Birmingham area?

Evo engine and running gear would be awesome, but would cost a small fortune also.
And seeing as though I have a few spare 2wd cossy bits, I thought they may come to good use.
Just need to find a good auto metal fabricator localish.

you would need one BIG hole in the bonnet to fit it or the engine in the dash board as the front end of an fto slopes down quite sharply, it would be an silly amount of work for a car that is not that special, sell the fto, stick the YB in a westy/caterham

 

Engine actually goes in quite well, with plenty room on the sides and good space for the rad/fans and fabricated cooler, infact the main issue would be suspension front and rear and steering.

The bullit wound went through a stage of wanting to YB an FTO, I think the post war japanese technology put him off
