Default who's good with wiring?

and is local to west london?

going to collect my new engine tomorrow and i'm thinking about wiring it in, but, as with most modern motors, will i be able to use the ornignal loom and ecu for the car or would i be better off getting a headache of a aftermarket system hooked up for it?

There are so few wires needed for the ecu from a power point of view to add, it is childs play to diy.

It can be got around but honestly is not worth it.
Aftermarket ecu's start at Ł350, just fit(ecu) loom plug onto your loom.
Aftermarket has so many advantages as well.

well, after collecting it yesterday, there is only one plug that seems to connect the car to the engine and box, so i'm going to now be asking for a wiring loom diagram for the st so that i can get to deciphering it all

looks like it's going to go into the slot in the engine bay just fine too, but i'm a bit concered that other than the ford logo on the plug cover, everywhere else is coated with ovlov markings, form the sump to the oil filter

well, whatever engine it is, as far as i'm aware, no one else has put it into anything else other than me so far, so watch this space for more intresting problems and hammer throwing when things don't fit
