koni adjustable shocks are great but the springs you get are too soft and makes it harsh on bumpy roads currently got spax springs with my adj koni's and is better but still not there yet

That doesnt make any sense, your springs determine the ride height and your shocks determine the ride quality (ie:harder or softer), unless the springs are fucked and make the shocks bottom out on bumpy roads!!??

So it is Spax or Koni that is the best choice for the S2?

coil overs can be very harsh for the road and many people suggest that there is a need to strengthen the suspension turrets when you use them

Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that they are or are not coilovers. It's just what springs you order with them and how you set the dampers.

so why can you buy different rates of springs for track and road car if all they do is alter ride height not aid in stiffening the ride, it's a combination of the 2 that gives you the quality of ride and if you have springs that are too soft then the DAMPERS work is increased and the quality goes down. having springs that are too soft will give same result as springs that are too hard on our roads and bang into every pot hole. your standard rs turbo spring is 99% of the time stiffer than the uprated ones but most people want it lower so swap them when what you want is a spring of similar poundage but 20mm lower hence why some people have cut a coil of the standard spring to lower cars(i'm not saying it's right but each to there own)

no need for coilover if you gone use it as a daily drive!

koni is a ok kit, have that my self! order the adjustable so you could adjust the harness.
dont lower more than 35mm.

could also be an idea to change the bushes when you are at it!
