Default cleaning and painting a block...

can anyone throw some ideas myway about the vbest way of getting my block spotless when its out? i'm assuming degreaser and a steam clean, but i want to make some all the oil and water ways are clean.

whats the best thing to use to paint the block?

Mine is being painted with normal car paint!

And steam/water and WD40/brake cleaner for outside. Becareful with the machined bits though, spray em with some WD or they'll start to rust fairly quickly.

I blasted my block with glass and powdercoated it. Strong paint and looks good i think.
