Default Floot well Repair - More small patches or one new large patc

Hi

Can anyone advise on the best course of action?

Should I patch with more small patches or cut the lot out and put in one large new section?

I was leaning towards a new large section

Also my only option where I do the work is my driveway - I was looking at getting a gas MIG - any advice for outside welding?

Cheers

I'd replace the whole section mate.

If welding out side make sure you keep out of any wind or it will blow the gas away and won't weld very well at all.

If you still have problems use gasless wire which has a flux core and you can use in light wind.

Matt.

Thanks Matt

The only thing I am bothered about is the contition of the plate under the floor which is used for jacking

You can see the top side of this where the green and pink wires cross the hole. It looks very difficult to make another if it is totaly corroded

Yeah chiz it's the front jacking point, where the standard ford jack goes in, but it is also the area between that and the sill where a pillar lift would lift from.

The pics are a bit poor I only had my phone on me at the time, the camera's not the worst but definatley not the best!

I'll get some better shots
