Default what do i need for a 2.1 zetec conversion?

hi all,
i know it probly been asked 100 times before but what would i need to collect to do a 2.1 zetec conversion to my car. at the moment my engine is standerd bar a exhaust and dump valve and k&n....
i would like to build the engine up myself, and collect all the bits over time so there is no large outlay of cash....
also will i still use a standerd s2 gearbox and ecu with this?
thanks alot..... dan

Are you talking an 8v or 16v engine?

would prefer 16 valve as that would make it a whole zetec lump i think... rather than having the old 8 valve cvh head..

250bhp is a walk in the park for a zetec.. all you need is a set of low compression pistons and some stronger valve springs, et voila!

(engine-wise)
