Default Locked out the Mondeo St200 Help! :(

Hi All!

I have posted here before! I own a Series One RS turbo and a Mondeo St200.

Cut a long sotry short, i went shopping and while loading the boot, i left the key inside! Closed the boot, now the car is stuck at the supermarket!

I have no spare key. I tried using a coat hanger through the seal of the door to hook the handle but managed to get it twice but slipped right off.

I live in Guernsey, so as you can imagine i had a lot of attention from passers by and a vist from the police asking what i was doing!

So the car is still down the supermarket, all i can do is call a lock smith? Even then i dont rekon he would get in!

Anyone got any suggestions?

I trust this isnt the best question to answer in public, im a lover of fords - i own a 85 Series One RS turbo + The St200. I dont want any replys to lead to people stealing a car - so if you got any good suggestions please PM me.

Kind Regards,

James

Update: Locksmith has been down thismorning, managed to hook the door handle but as suspected - the doors are dead-locked. I guess im going to have to pick the cheapest window. Ill do some searching to see if theres any ST200 windows going for cheap.

No one has any other suggestions?

do you have breakdown recovery? They should come out and get in for you. How long have you owned the car? Get the logbook and see who was the last owner - give them a ring and see if they have a spare key!

Yup the AA are suprsingly good at getting into cars. if not smash one of the rear passenger windows as is easy to change cos of no seal to mess about with and you can drive it home without loads of glas on your seat, then call the insurance comapny up and say it was broken in too. Theyll come out pretty promptly.

We managed to get the logbook, took that to ford. The got the "T" number. Then used this number to cut a spare key! What a nightmare. We got a second electronic key on order now. Dont want this happening again!
