Default Repairing rocker cover gasket!

I know this sounds extremely pikey, but it's just until I get a new one. It's pissing oil out and it's costing an arm and a leg in oil. Can I just unbolt the rocker cover and take a look? With a view to making a quick repair until I get a replacement gasket?

And do those £7.50 butyl rubber ones work?? Ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cosworth-Rocke...QQcmdZViewItem

Too good to be true?

imo and experience! the rubber 1's are a complete waste of time, they either split when you tighten the rocker cover down or they buckel up inside and leak oil into the spark plug chambers, never the less you'l be back at square one so you may as well go for a cometic 1 or the std ford 1's a just as good

Ok, sounds like the rubber one is a no-no.

The leak is at the back of the head.
