For some reason since i changed the standard stereo in my seat the mw and lw dont work anymore. The FM is fine but the others dont get any sort of reception at all. I have tried a couple of stereos so its not the head unit.

Any ideas?

 

ON a domestic stereo they use different aerials.

I know I've only ever had one aerial on any of my cars but maybe they're 'special' and its the special bit thats broken.

What do you want MW or LW for anyway, theres nothing on there?

 

The cricket is on lw198 and football season is about to start so 909mw is a must!

 

on a vag built car u need a signal seperator and amplifier,
they are a little silver inline aerial adaptor, and take a power feed from the electric aerial feed from head unit,
can be purchased from most good car shops and of course halfrauds.
be warned, u will never get a perfect reception without the original radio!

 

i never use mw or lw either, just fm, and thats if i use the radio, infact thats even if i have the stereo turned on
