A myth or not?
My new bird says I am a bit aggressive (obviously dont beat her up or anything
) when drunk on Stella. But its all Ive ever drunk since I started drinking all those years ago..
Anyone ever noticed a link for sure?
Might try drinking Fosters piss this weekend to test

nope i drink stella all the time, average 2-3 cans a night when im at home and not at work. Doesnt make me the slightest bit aggressive....
If anything it chills me out.... Nothing like pouring yourself a cool crisp stella after a hard hot shift at work......

IMHO everyone reacts differently to everything...so what you have to do is find something you like that doesnt make you agressive...if you want to get the missus off your back that is
Yep, deffo and the hangovers I get off it are the worst. I'll have a banging head of 1 or 2 pints of stella the next day. And TBH it's not the nicest tasting either - much prefer becks or peroni. The 5% line is it for me - anything more and I can get very nasty.

Myth, that many people now swear happens to them
It was called wife beater mainly cos it was fairly strong, till many other beers pulled up to the same alcohol % level, and because it was drunk often in large ammounts. The wife beater part was the drunk, not the beer
Oddly tho, it's the only beer that makes me feel shitty the next day. I;m blessed I never get hangovers from beer (wine is a different story!) no matter how much I drink. But Stella, wether it was one bottle or 10 I always felt shitty the next day - like I had eaten something dodgy - sick stomach feeling and nasty guts.... Fosters, Grolsch, Kroenenberg (which I don't drink as I don't like it's taste), Carling, Carlsberg, XXXX, Bud (fucking rank!) - none of these make me feel like Stella does the next day. So I stopped drinkin it a couple years ago......

If you find a few stella's gives you a sore head in the morning then try getting som of the imported stuff, not the 'brewed in the UK' crap. Not much use if you are drinking it in the pub granted, but at home the import is free of chemicals, and tastes considerably better.
They say the UK stuff doesnt have any chemicals in but whilst on the stella tour once in Leuven where the real stuff is brewed the woman showing us around admitted that the water used for the UK stuff was 'treated to make it the same as the water at the Leuven brewery' now if treating the water isnt adding chemicals fook knows what is.
As for Stella being an angry drink, course it fuckin isnt, and are you gonna fuckin argue it with me cos I'll fight you!!

There is a little more to the rumour than you might think. Not for me to post on a public forum as I could no doubt get into all kinds of shit, but a family member has been involved in clinical trials.

I think there's something in its reputation IMO, it makes me ill whilst drinking it never mind the next day! and its not the strength!

Had a bangin Stella headache this morning. 10 pints last night did the trick
Pleased I didnt start on the Brown Ale though. Thats a weekend drink for me cos I tend not to recover for at least a day after a good session

as for stella..theres two types brewed in the uk..some cans have a embossed text on the side of them and taste rank.some dont but still taste rank
so i dont drink wife beater anymore nice crisp ice cold corona extra
but the stuff u buy over here in supermarkets and on draught in the pub is made here in newcastle i think. and they pump it full of chemicals to try and match the taste the original belgian stella.
i wouldnt say it make u much more agressive, i think in general all larger make u agressive. anyway in a ale, and stout man so dont bother me.
but whet i do notice with the Uk stella is it gives u a massive headache, and it can make all ur bones hurts the next morning. Uk kronenburg also is the same.
so go on a day trip boose cruise and bring back some real stuff, bet u will notice the difference!!
Yeah, I can relate to that. I prefer drinking the stronger lagers to piss weak stuff but a session on stella, which could be anywhere from 10, to not far from 20 pints would totally fucking ruin me for about 2 days. Its a good job my toilet was porcelain as it would of melted a metal one
Yet now if I drink cider, becks or even carling then I'm ok
