Just me or are poeple getting fed up with the rsoc i mean i have wanted my 3dr valued but there has been no 1 to do it now there is i have smashed it up so i dout i will get what the car is worth £35 a year for a few books that turn up when they feel like it just seems to me 2 many poeple that run the club are doing it to line there own pockets when i first joined years ago could not fault it but i think this will be my last year rant over lol

 

here we go again. There's is a lot more to the RSOC membereship than 6 issues of rallye news!

if you did not pay the membership then there would be no rsoc so therefore NO SHOWS,its a shame you never got your car valued,most registrars go out of their way to help.

(1) Bi Monthly Rallye news
(2) full use of the Rsoc BB
(3) Discount insurance
(4) access to the rsoc registrars for agreed values
(5) 10-30% off on all ford parts at ford on production of membership card "i know not many parts left" but a saving all the same , and if you run a modern every day ford you still get discount" ,service kits still readily available .
(6) entry to Nat day as part of your local group , as you have to be a member to show , i know some get away with this , but in the main you have to be a member .

(7) being part of something to be proud of "IMO"
(8) there are more but i will leave it there for now

£35 hey! ,what does £20 get you , not knocking PF as Ive been a Gold member , but i did jot get much for my £20 ..

£10 for gold membership here , i am sorry , it was £20 when i was one ..maybe the reduction says it all ?? , like i say not having a go at PF , as i fully respect all involved , old and new , but it seems to me that people post on here all the time having a go at the rsoc , not many on the rsoc have a go at PF unless a thread pops up having a go at the club first ..

3 Can get cheaper insurance
4 3dr values your having a joke
5 not worth a light many cheaper places than ford for genuine stuff
6 blackmail to show your car at national day

ITS a joke realy if you think you are getting a good deal all the best to ya but when you look at other clubs mat you get just the same for less money end off

 

Its because passion ford is better worth every penny of £20 if you sell parts

try being a devon member on there.... youl soon realise why i dont want to be apart of it.

i go on the bb every day to help people in the tec section, but thats all.

 

agree with ypu on a few but have emailed nat. group a few time about acess to forum but never had a reply and cant get on there.
insurace was over £1000 with their insurerers £670 wih adrian flux
there isnt a 4x4 saph registrar and hasnt been for a while
promises from different members of the nat. committee to come down and see us at one of our club nights have never materilised.
telling us that we cant heve regional day, one occasion it was because of clash with northern group day after we had spoken to said group and cleared it with them and went back to nat. group it was that they had no money to do it

all in all have been pretty pissed of with nat. group recently but will be renewing

Point 2 1 ex 500 owner caused all that , good riddance don't tar us all with the same brush
point 3 maybe be , but piece of mind come if the worse was to happen , i for one am happy with the club scheme
point 4 cant comment , aint got a 3dr , got a top 500 registrar though
point 5 would rather have a ford receipt in my history file than a Micky mouse one
point 6 why black mail ? , its a club , club members get priority , as you would on a PF stand ..

insurance , did you phone em back ? , i know you should not have to but if you did and they did not beat flux i would be supprised .
committee thats a mine field mate , hit and miss at times , shame they have let you don this far , Kev is currently doing the local group rounds though

you get what you want out of any club, but if the RSOC wasnt here then are cars would be worth nout because without the shows/ect there wouldnt be many people that would pay the money that we get for the cars now

just seems that the committe in general cant be arsed with the south west def one thing in particular that they have sided with that alot of people dont agree with

 

people will pay top money for older rs cars because they are good.....i will always be prepared to pay top money for a true rs...because i love em, nothing to do with the rsoc

unlike the new ones, just think, in a few years it will be a female club....with the new focus rs being a girls car....its only going to get harder for the club imo.....the real rs days are over....
