as above from a friend totally skint he was wanting 3k for it and i got it for 2k
its a w reg xr3 the shell is immaculate and i dont even think its ever been welded its a full series 1 rep running a 2.0 zvh engine wossner forged pistons t34 turbo megasquirt ecu mtx75 box with focus rs diff and uprated clutch.
not a bad price for the cash hes spent on it over the past 6 months hes spent 3500 on parts

Looks good but I always wonder why people throw so much money at replicas when they could just start with a genuine rs in the first place? Not having a dig as it looks really good but I just prefer cars to look more or less factory just with silly power

 

ha ha good buy there mate the list of parts is worth the money, as for phil69a why not spend the money on the bits that mater in this case engine box ect if he'd started out with an rs his loss would of been even more.and as for a car to drive at 2k it's a beater track it abuse it do what you want what have you lost if it all go's pear shaped well done mate use and abuse it

 

i just sold my h reg series 2 turbo on saturday it had rust on the roof and a little hole it had holes in the floor needed a new battery tray etc etc etc ive had 5 other series 2 turbos all piles of shite ive looked at 4k series ones before all plated up piles of shit rusty as fook i have a look at a w reg xr3 thats done 92k and its very very clean the point im getting at is an escort shell is an escort shell and people who get a hard on because there documents say rs turbo and the shell is minging just doesnt appeal to me i would rather look for a good shell rs shell or not it doesnt bother me in the slightest its condition that matters most to me because i know what old fords are like for tin worm lol.
theres a guy in my town that has recently bought a so called MINT red rs turbo ex fast ford feature car 5k he paid for it put it in for its mot a couple of months later FAIL get the welder out rotten underneath lol

 

your gonna struggle to find any mk3 escort in half decent condition these days, i dont think it matters a fook

 

its a good car for the money and its good for burning around in ive got a vr6 turbo mk1 golf as well for burning around in thats even more fun lol.

 

my brother originally owned the car and didnt do much with it and when i first seen it i tried to buy it because the condition of the shell i just couldnt believe it then he sold it to my mate for a daft price then he goesmad with the cash buying all these parts for it then i rip his arm off lol

 

many many moons ago i had a xr3 that had never seen a welder all original panels until my mate lent it and crshed it within 500 yards of my home looks a good buy the rs bit on the log book is just two letters chap, just use it for what it is a mk3 turbo a tidy rot free one

 

i might keep it and spend a couple of quid on it myself but i get bored of cars easily so it might get sold on like the rest of my cars its nice to drive though and doesnt hang about

 

I wasn't knocking the car at all as it looks superb but if it was mine I would want it to look like a standardish xr3, as thats what it is, with the power to show up most cars. Maybe i'm just jealous you got such a bargain
