Just because the part numbers are different, doesn't mean it's not the same thing.

Benni.

Benni.

i know mate.i sell car parts for a living.but they wouldnt tell me what the difference was. thier excuse is they dont have the data anymore to tell me the differences
now i thought they were the same.but they say no(with no fact that backs it)
the maybe telling the truth and dont know but there is 60 quid difference between the two. possibly because its an escort.

i wanted to make sure before i buy a new one.not point if i can put my saff rack on.

The racks are the same.

A friend had one fitted to his Sierra when his started leaking....Only problem was afterwards....was the car had far more lock to the left, than it did the right after the specialist fitted it. One wheel fouled inner rear arch on lock, the other wheel was nowhere near.

Only took 15 minutes for a dummy like me to fix, and its perfect now. Same lock both sides....it isnt a difficult concept to understand.
