I've put mobil 1 in and its a little tappy? ive heard this before just wondered if any1 can recommend another good oil??

yeah i used mobil 1 in my frst,it was okay,now useing millers cfs 10w 60 and i find its not so tappy....

Isnt 5/40 a bit thin?

Anything with heavy mileage is going to leak it out quicker than you can fill it up.
Thicker oil will make it quieter but there must be a reason why the expert suggests the above.
Does it have to be thin because of the turbo?

 

nope its quieter now than it ever was on mobil one motorsport, i emailed oilman my spec inc mileage and that is what he recommended and ive used it ever since with no probs
