fiesta mk4 rear sub frame/ axle bushes need help fast

Default fiesta mk4 rear sub frame/ axle bushes need help fast

just got back from having a mot and it failed on loads of shit classic ford

the main one is the rear sub frame bushes are both gone, how had is it to change them?

i just priced them up and there 35 quid for the pair but looking through e bay there are loads of special tools for changing them

is there a easy way to do it without that tool?

please help as i dont want to pay that robbing c**t mot guy to do the job

chisle em out with a air chisle and your in, they rust in bad tho, it will piss you off, we did it ona fully prepped garage and i wouldnt do it again, just get a good bushed beam from a scrappers for £30 save money and hassle

worst problem seems to be that the beam has holes in the joins so rust starts there and feeds in seizing it solid, we has saws and alsorts but had to air chisle 1 side to fuck it up then once the outer ring is split it hammered out took from 10am til 5pm to get done, i was pissed as i had a good beam on another car but guy in charge (missuses old man and garage owner wanted to swap em over 'propperly')
(chisle spelling looks wrong hmm)

edit, course he fuckin did it this thread was from 2008!

we got ours out easy enough but it is getting them in thats the problem is there a easy way 2 fitting it mate many thanks badboy
