Ha beat me to it!!!!!

I dont think the RS Automotive kit like mine is being marketed at the moment. I think they said that they would need an order list for a number of kits to make it worthwhile cost wise to produce them.

I think the price of the comprehensive kit with all the custom parts you need, except a saph cossie donor, was about 13k. But that was about 6-7 yrs ago.

Plus you need to find a UN1 gearbox from a Renault 21/25 turbo.

You may be able to do one for 18-19k depending on what goodies you spend on

My bro in law has recently sold his half built one (minging green colour!!) and bought a running rs automotive one. Just needs SVA'ing and registering. Think he paid around the 13k mark for that one (in white and lovely condition!)

Paul Horner is the chap at RS Automotive, didnt realise he had sold up though?

Best of luck with this venture. From what little I know, I believe that the RS Automotive/Kara kit was about the best of the bunch.

I'd love one of these but given the time I've taken on my Sierra I don't think the wife would let me even think about it!

My mate has a blue Evo one, around the 500bhp mark, shockingly fast.

I used to visit a guy's garage in Shoebury (he was dating my cousin) and the guy there had the moulds to make the RS200, although I believe they were badged as Evo's.

Basically he would say if you provided 10 grand and the doner car than you could have one!

At the time he was also working on a blue Fiesta Cosworth 4x4 with white compomotives on it!!!

Its a shame theres no easy way of making one 4wd without an original rs200 box or maybe porsche running gear.

I realise that,

But theres no shame in not being able to afford something. I wouldn't drive an MR2 F355 clone, or one of the infamous 911 reps that were so close they made them swap the filler cap either. Im fortunate in that I can afford a genuine RS200 but wasn't passing judgement, just saying I wouldn't be happy in something that wasn't real. I couldn't afford a Zonda F no matter how much I'd like to aspire to owning one !!

Its not just about the cost, its the fact often the real cars are so rare you wouldnt want to drive/modify it. Id rather own an accurate rs200 replica than the original car as id be afraid of fucking up an original!!
