Default Road tax increase 'will hit 9m'

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7498884.stm

This fucking goverment is shit stupid.... got everything backwards.

Newer cars pollute less than older cars yet they increase the tax for newer cars. That means more people will go for older, more polluting cars as there be cheaper to run.

Fucking stupid green tax

Fucking stupid goverment

Wheres the next Guy Fawkes ? We need to blow up parliament with all them stupid fuckers in it

You miss the point, EXISTING cars are already here, they are trying to stop the deluge or cars being made, as this causes far more pollution than any newer more effecient car can save, so it's manufacturing pollution versus pollution saved.
I think it should be free if over 15 years old anyway.

I sincerely hope the government has to do another U-turn - useless fuckers . They have wiped billions off the value of second hand cars, and are causing the economy to go into free-fall. However, I can see it will take a full on economic depression before THEY realise what the GP knew all along .

I knew they were fucktards back in 97 - and that was before I could vote! Now that I can, I'll do everything in my power to send these useless fuckers back to the toilet they crawled out of!

If you want to know, they are hoping to raise £1 BILLION pounds from this...

They better put it back toward better roads and transports!! (fat chance, it's for their posh house, their personal spending, etc)

They say it is a tax to only affect the most polluting vehicles and favour the friendly ones... My 02 Laguna Diesel will do 50mpg and yet it is still going up by a tenner in tax...

Personally I think they have placed it just so the average family car will go up by a bit so they make a bit more money, the fast cars go up a lot as it is a nice easy cheap shot they can put under the green banner, and only a few small carswill go down in tax which willbe offset by most families having one big and one small car...

Just watched the news where it showed one of his speeches in march stating the tax on cars change will benefit all. How does increasing tax on the regular family cars by a whopping £70 a year, my dads saab will be about £350 next year and he is 66 year old man thats paid fuck knows how much tax in his lifetime through his business. Its not fair on us and its gonna get worse. Gordan brown is a lying fat bastard and i wish he would fuck off and let someone else have a go.

9 million cars are affected.

Labours law of sillyness comes to the fore again.

Put in laws to have children of certain ages and sizes into car seats, (good idea imo)
However, many families now buy either a MPV or a 4x4 as they offer the room to have 1-2 car seats in the back seat comfortably and still take luggage that comes with families.
Now they put up the road tax on them and say that we must go back to smaller cars??

Which dont have the room as many people have came from them for that reason.

On the flip side. a Discovery 3 V8 with lpg goes down from £415 to £180 a year for road tax. Also you can get 3 gallons of lpg to 1 gallon of diesel so it goes further as well.

Take a random stab at what car ill be buying next
